About the Role: As a Drama Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons to students at all levels, from Key Stage 3 through to A-Level. You will have the opportunity to inspire and nurture the creative talents of our students, encouraging self-expression and collaboration. The successful candidate will be passionate about drama education, have excellent communication skills, and bring a fresh and innovative approach to the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Drama lessons across all key stages.
2. Create a dynamic and inspiring learning environment for students to explore drama, theatre, and performance techniques.
3. Organise and supervise extracurricular drama activities, including school productions and drama clubs.
4. Support students in their academic development, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
5. Collaborate with other teachers and departments to enhance the overall school curriculum.
6. Contribute to the development of the Drama department’s curriculum and resources.
Key Requirements:
* A qualified Drama teacher (PGCE or equivalent) with experience teaching Drama at secondary level.
* A passion for the subject and a commitment to inspiring students to achieve their potential.
* Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff.
* Experience with organising school productions or extracurricular drama activities is desirable.
