Overview
We are seeking a number of Assembly Technicians to join a fast-growing engineering and manufacturing customer of ours in Surrey.
Initially on a 2 month fixed-term-contract, this is a hands-on role supporting the build and assembly of the company’s pioneering, clean-technology product.
Main Duties
Assemble mechanical and electrical components in line with detailed engineering instructions
Support production builds and assist with kitting parts for assembly
Maintain high quality standards, ensuring component traceability and minimal rework
Diagnose and resolve assembly issues to keep production on schedule
Accurately record assembly processes, including any deviations or modifications
Follow health & safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised workspace
Technical Prerequisites
Background in mechanical and/or electrical assembly
Ideally experience within automotive (or similar sectors such as aerospace, motorsport, or commercial vehicles) – not essential
Alternatively, a vehicle technician background would be considered
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (2D/3D) and assembly instructions
Strong hands-on skills with good fault-finding and diagnostic ability
Awareness of health & safety and use of PPE
Desirable:
Electrical harnessing experience (LV/HV)
Experience within a production or prototype assembly environment
Forklift licence

Location: Surrey (near M25)
Salary: £32,000 (pro rata)
Contract: Initially fixed-term (2 months)
