Responsibilities and duties of the Mechanical Engineer role Reporting to the Mechanical Manager you will: Deliver safe, compliant and cost-effective mechanical engineering and maintenance solutions across CCGT plant and systems Diagnose faults and support effective resolution through structured analysis and engineering judgement Develop and implement maintenance strategies to improve plant reliability, availability and efficiency Plan, scope and manage mechanical engineering works, including plant modifications and improvements Support predictive and preventative maintenance activities to optimise long-term asset performance Manage external contractors and service providers during maintenance activities, outages and projects Produce and maintain technical documentation, reports, drawings and engineering records Ensure all activities meet health, safety, environmental and quality standards Contribute to budget management, contract specifications and commercial decision-making Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: Degree level qualification is highly desired, but HNC/HND would be considered. Mechanical or engineering related subject required. IOSH or NEBOSH highly desired.
