Job Description
Location: Newport, Isle of Wight
Days & Hours: Permanent Part Time and Bank hours available. Permanent contract for 18.5 hours per week, scheduled according to an advance rota. Bank hours include mornings, afternoons, and evenings on weekdays and weekends.
Pay: £14.20 per hour (Monday-Friday, 8am-8pm), £15.39 per hour (Monday-Friday, 8pm-8am). Additional payments apply for weekends and bank holidays.
Driver required? Yes, essential.
Driving Client's Car? Yes, wheelchair adapted vehicle (WAV), automatic.
Using Own Vehicle for work purposes? Occasional use for meetings and training.
Essential: Understanding of cognitive behaviour linked to Cerebral Palsy.
Desirable: Experience working with adults with special needs and severe disabilities; interest in therapy.
Family Pets: Annie has an assistance dog, and walking may be required.

About Annie
Annie, born in 1989, is sociable, humorous, and independent. She enjoys shopping, cinema, theatre, and boxing with her trainer. She values her family and care team highly.
She has Cerebral Palsy affecting mobility, coordination, and dexterity, along with visual impairment and cognitive challenges. She walks with a frame and uses a powered wheelchair for independence.
Role Responsibilities
You will join a small care team working under the guidance of the Case Manager and Team Leader to provide comprehensive care. Responsibilities include assisting with daily routines, personal care, domestic tasks, and medication management.
You will provide companionship and may be involved in taking Annie on holidays and social outings. The role requires a calm, proactive, and enthusiastic approach.
