Overview

Full time, Monday - Friday. £80k - £90k per annum. Bonus: 15% (unspecified payout basis). Based in the South of England. Opportunities for professional development. Plus our Sodexo employee benefits package. Role: Account Director, South of England – Full time.


Responsibilities

* Take overall responsibility for ensuring that contracts and services are operated within their contractual terms.
* Ensure full compliance in Technical and Soft Services delivery, with particular focus on Technical Services compliance.
* Commercial and financial management of contracts with focus on forecasting the next three years and analysing future trends to maximise stakeholder value.
* Develop long-term client relationships to understand future expectations using the Clients for Life process, methodology and toolkit, including facilitating and attending annual expectations meetings.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of client strategy and ensure own business area plan aligns with objectives and delivers against company expectations.
* Set and agree overall annual budgets with the finance team.
* Analyse and review all financial measures and tools to ensure positive financial performance through accurate forecasting and account management.
* Drive revenue and maximise sales by implementing innovative ideas across all operational departments.
* Take overall accountability for delivering services to the agreed specifications and SLAs/standards required by the contracts within your area.
* Continually seek ways to maximise profitability and enhance service quality by driving excellence and cost efficiencies.
* Prioritise health and safety; lead and participate in safety information delivery including Food Safety, Health & Safety, Fire Safety, First Aid and any statutory or client-specific safety requirements.
* Ensure compliance with company and client policies, site rules, statutory regulations, licenses and qualifications; manage consequences as required.
* Own the risks and risk register; monitor risks through the Workplace Managers and ensure business continuity plans are aligned with wider company plans.
* Analyse indicators, coach teams to embed good practice, and ensure contract controls meet audit standards.
* Lead performance excellence through coaching and understand the balance between technical competence and behavioural capability.
* Manage the team and provide guidance on operational issues to ensure business objectives are met; manage direct reports including recruitment, induction, training and performance.
* Grow strong relationships with clients to ensure a profitable long-term partnership; communicate engagement results and drive continuous improvement.
* Build and maintain understanding of company strategy and financial goals, policies, procedures and processes (e.g., people management, H&S) to ensure compliance.
* Facilitate a high support, high challenge performance management culture.
* Promote Sodexo as the preferred employer, adhering to recruitment policies and engaging with local communities and stakeholders.


What we're looking for

* Experience in leading large, complex Technical Services contracts.
* HNC/BIFM qualification or solid senior management experience.
* Proven experience in managing P&L accounts.
* Operational knowledge and experience in managing multi-site/multi-operations.
* Management of large and diverse teams; ability to manage multiple workloads and shifting priorities.
* Ability to interpret and utilise complex financial and commercial information.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients and employees.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative within a team environment.
* NEBOSH or IOSH managing safely qualifications; CIEH Level 3 qualification.
* Technical Services experience in large corporate/critical space environments preferred.
