Job Description
We're looking for a talented Process Technician to work for our client, based at their Carluke, Scotland Factory.
They want to recruit someone with demonstrable experience of using Microsoft suite to maintain business systems and processes, which support the main activity of planning, producing, and inspecting the production of Silicon Carbide Coated products for Semiconductor and Renewable Energy customers worldwide.
This is a versatile role requiring good logic and problem-solving skills. The candidate should be self-motivated and able to work independently when required. Knowledge of Manufacturing, Maintenance, and Cleanroom environments would be an additional bonus, as manufacturing and inspection are conducted in cleanrooms.

The Role:
As the Process Technician, you will report to the Lead Process Technician and General Manager. Your primary responsibilities include direct involvement in production, material inspections, preparing the CVD reactor for operation, and eventually operating the reactor. Full training will be provided, covering planning, purchasing, inspection, maintenance, and production. You will work both independently and as part of a team to meet production and maintenance targets.
Your tasks will include:
1. Planning
2. System maintenance
3. Purchasing and goods in
4. Quality assurance and control
5. Process operation and inspection
6. Packing and dispatch
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in a similar role, with hands-on experience in machine maintenance, using spreadsheets, and maintaining administrative systems and processes.
Required experience includes:
* Teamwork
* Producing high-standard work
* Goods in/out and handling fragile parts
* Operation of CVD reactors or similar equipment
* Managing production schedules and processing orders
* Preventive maintenance, non-conformances, root cause analysis
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook)
Additional requirements:
* Ability to work independently and use initiative
* Excellent problem-solving and learning attitude
* Good organizational and planning skills
* Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
* Strong communication skills and proactive attitude
* Minimum A-levels or equivalent, with consideration for relevant knowledge and experience

Recent graduates with relevant degrees but less experience are encouraged to apply.

The Package:
* Standard hours: Monday to Thursday, 8am - 4.30pm; Friday, 8am - 1.30pm
* Salary: £27,000 - £35,000 per annum
