Role details
This is a part-time position of 22 hours per week. You will help ensure our residents’ care planning arrangements are delivered impeccably, offering residents a sense of choice and independence. You will perform nursing tasks delegated to you, report accidents, and spend time with residents showing vigilance for wellbeing, especially for those with dementia, with Resident wellbeing in mind above all else.
Responsibilities
* Assist in tasks such as administering medicines, care of wounds, catheter care and other direct clinical tasks, under the supervision and guidance of a qualified nurse.
* Contribute to delivering person-led care planning and adhere to relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
* Support Resident wellbeing and independence within the care setting.
About You / Qualifications
* Level 3 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Care (or working towards).
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in Health & Social Care where you have been a Senior Carer or a similar position with leadership responsibilities, especially around administering medicines and leading a shift.
* Knowledge and understanding of the person-led care planning process and the relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
Safeguarding
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You should recognise signs of potential abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if concerns arise. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training as needed. You should be able to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
