Finance Controller - Export and Beyond Beer
Function: Finance
Location: Edinburgh City Centre (a mix of office and home working)
Salary: £65-£75k depending on experience, plus 15% benefits allowance (can be taken as cash), and further benefits listed below
Contract: 12-Month FTC

About the role
As the Finance Controller - Export and Beyond Beer, you’ll business partner the following teams:
* The Export Manager and Supply Chain Export team on all Export and intercompany-related Finance issues including due diligence checks.
* The Head of Beyond Beer and her team on all related finance issues in this new and exciting category.
You will provide first-class performance management, planning, and insights to ensure robust execution of operational plans. Your primary responsibilities include ensuring governance and control of Revenue and Cost management objectives, along with reconciliation of the financial position for Export/Intercompany and Beyond Beer transactions.
You will support the Export Digital Backbone (DBB) project, acting as the process design and impact assessment manager, and support various Beyond Beer projects. This role offers autonomy, exposure to stakeholders, and change management in a fast-paced environment. Financial leadership skills and operational knowledge will be valuable for future senior finance roles at HEINEKEN UK.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Driving commercial analysis to maximize Export and Beyond Beer P&L profitability.
2. Reporting profitability at SKU level monthly for all Export/Intercompany/Beyond Beer SKUs.
3. Managing financial reporting, including income statement and balance sheet reconciliations.
4. Handling external auditors for Export/Intercompany and Beyond Beer queries.
5. Leading annual planning and rolling forecast cycles, and monitoring/reporting against these plans.
6. Ensuring compliance with HEINEKEN policies and maintaining a robust control environment.
7. Promoting continuous improvement within the Control Team.
8. Collaborating with Supply Chain teams to identify and exploit commercial opportunities, ensuring process compliance and alignment with global frameworks.
Who we are looking for
We seek a commercially aware Qualified Accountant with strong financial analysis skills, stakeholder management, and the ability to navigate ambiguity. Requirements include:
* 3-5 years of senior analyst or controller experience.
* Strong business partnering skills.
* Experience in financial process improvement.
* Knowledge of financial compliance.
