Due to an internal move, we are looking to recruit a Recruitment Coordinator (Talent Acquisition Coordinator) to support the continued transformation of the recruitment function at Tilbury Douglas. This role will play an important part in helping us build a more efficient, proactive, and candidate-focused recruitment service, supporting our shift from reactive hiring to a more strategic and forward-looking talent acquisition approach.
Working closely with our Head of Talent Acquisition and two Talent Acquisition Partners, you will help deliver a professional and efficient recruitment administration and coordination service that ensures the smooth running of the hiring process. You will play a key role in supporting the team as we build stronger talent pipelines, enhance the candidate experience, and implement proactive recruitment practices across the business.
What You’ll Do
* Provide administrative support to the Talent Acquisition team, ensuring recruitment processes run efficiently
* Upload vacancies for approval, issue contracts, and maintain accurate records within the Applicant Tracking System (eArcu)
* Advertise vacancies across all our channels and support the promotion of the Tilbury Douglas employer brand externally
* Support recruitment activity for emerging talent and administrative roles
* Assist hiring managers with system access, training, and interview coordination
* Manage the shared recruitment inbox and phone line, ensuring queries are handled promptly
* Represent the recruitment team at corporate inductions
* Manage and improve the onboarding process ahead of its transition to the HR Services team in Q3/Q4 2026
* Lead system improvements and support project-based work that strengthens recruitment processes
* Lead the reporting of accurate recruitment data
* Manage and maintain the recruitment pages on our intranet
* Process agency terms and conditions, and manage invoicing and employee referral payments accurately and efficiently
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous recruitment or HR coordination experience
* Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System
* Strong organisational and administrative skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
* Ability to manage multiple tasks while working to tight deadlines
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and candidates
* Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams
* Recruitment marketing experience
* Experience of project work or process improvement initiative
* Experience resourcing for vacancies or recruiting for early careers or administrative roles
* Experience working in a construction or technical recruitment environment
This role is based at our Head Office in Birmingham (near Birmingham Airport) and operates within a flexible hybrid working model. Colleagues are expected to work from the office three days per week and may work remotely for the remaining two days. There may also be occasional travel required to attend team days or wider business meet
