Our client, A Large public sector organisation, based in the Omagh area is looking for an Project Officer to join their team.
Duration: January 2026 with possible extension
Rate of pay: £18.48 per hour

Hours: 37 hours per week 9am to 5pm

Main Duties:
TRPSI Health & Well-being Branch manages the direct delivery of TRPSI Schemes / policies (Rural Micro Capital Grant Scheme, Rural Business Development Grant Scheme, Rural Support Charity, and the Rural Community Development Support Service). THWB is involved in collaboration initiatives delivered by other lead departments (DfC – Rural Infrastructure Support Programme, DfC – Village Catalyst Programme and DOH – Farm Families Health Check Programme). THWB is also represented in the ongoing inter-departmental Collaboration Test and Learn pilot in the Clogher Valley DEA and the £26.5m Covid Recovery Small Settlements Regeneration Programme in conjunction with DfC, DfI and Councils.
The 2025/2026 TRPSI Programme has an approved £4m capital and £2.5m resource budget and work is ongoing to bring forward a range of initiatives that will help to address rural poverty and social isolation issues across Northern Ireland.
The functions, roles and responsibilities cover the following areas:
• Leading on the delivery of TRPSI schemes.
• Utilising Project Management and delivery skills to manage TRPSI schemes in an effective and efficient manner.
• Developing Scheme Business Cases, Fraud Risk, Equality Impact, Data Sharing, Data Protection and Rural Needs Impact Assessments,
• Drafting scheme documentation including Application Forms, Guidance Notes, Procedures Manuals, Desk Instructions, Letters of Offer, and Risk Registers.
• Ensuring appropriate scheme databases are in place to retain information.
• Ongoing monitoring of Scheme(s) implementation.
• Working with RAD colleagues to ensure the timely completion of post project and overall scheme evaluations.
• Managing, monitoring, and reviewing scheme budgets.
• Providing support to the Head of Branch, DPs, and colleagues in the TRPSI Health and Wellbeing Team.
• Assisting in the preparation and delivery of any submissions, correspondence and responses to Ministerial, Assembly, Executive, AERA Committee, Permanent Secretary or FOI requests.

• Good knowledge of using software packages e.g., Microsoft office.
