Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our weekend team in Leigh, United Kingdom. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults by providing personalized, unhurried care in their own homes during weekends.
1. Provide personal care assistance including mobility support, bathing, and grooming
2. Prepare nutritious meals and beverages to meet individual dietary needs and preferences
3. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for clients
4. Offer companionship through conversation, activities, and emotional support
5. Assist with basic health-related tasks such as medication reminders and monitoring (training provided)
6. Support clients with light housekeeping duties and daily living activities
7. Document care provided by using our secured password protected app
8. Travel between client homes within the Leigh and surrounding area to provide consistent weekend coverage
9. Respond to client needs with patience, empathy, and professionalism
10. Follow individualized care plans and maintain confidentiality at all times
Qualifications
11. Legal authorization to work in the United Kingdom
12. Valid full driving license with access to reliable personal transportation
13. Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
14. Compassionate and caring personality with genuine interest in helping others
15. Physical capability to assist clients with mobility and personal care tasks
16. Strong reliability and punctuality, particularly for weekend scheduling commitments
17. Ability to work independently while following established care protocols
18. Flexibility to adapt to varying client needs and weekend schedules
19. Willingness to complete background checks and obtain DBS clearance
20. Basic understanding of health and safety procedures in home care settings
21. Previous care experience preferred but not required - comprehensive training provided
22. Commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and client dignity
