Our client, a large facilitiespany, is looking for an experienced Facilities Manager.
The role is temporary for 3 months and has the potential to be extended.
The Facilities Manager plays an important part in ensuring the planned and reactive maintenance work within the prisons is carried out in a safe,pliant and timely manner.
Duties include:
1. Ensure the health, safety and security of staff, contractors, premises, and equipment by encouraging and monitoring best practices at all times.
2. Assist in and supervise the delivery of a range of facilities services to the prison in line with contractualmitments.pliance focused.
3. Manager the day-to-day running of the estate, supervising a team of building engineers (electricians, plumbers, joiners etc), stores people and cleaners whilst working with contractors on site.
4. Ensure all requirements are met through liaising with HMPS management to meet and manage expectations.
5. Help to maintain standards as set out in the Service Level Agreement.
6. This role will also support both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate.
7. Check and sign timesheets in accordance with procedures.
Experience required –
8. Previous experience of working within the Facilities/Estate management arena.
9. Extensive knowledge of Health and Safety legislation andpliance.
10. IT skills and experience in usingputer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems.
11. Team management, working on your own initiative, understanding deadlines and priorities.
12. Management of engineers, dealing with customer and client.
