ABOUT PICANTE

PICANTE is founded by Jude Taylor and Saam Zonoozi. Born from a love of food, friendship and travel, the London-based fashion and lifestyle brand has become a cult label featured in Vogue, HYPEBEAST, Highsnobiety, Complex and GQ.

Alongside its mainline collections, PICANTE is on a mission to connect people through the ritual of food, collaborating with iconic restaurants and reimagining merchandise through a luxury lens.

As the brand continues to grow, we are expanding the design team and are looking for a Midweight Menswear Designer to work directly with the founders.

THE ROLE

As a Menswear RTW Designer, you will be responsible for the design and development of product across seasonal collections and drops.

Working closely with the founders, you will contribute to the full design process from initial concept and range planning through to final design execution and handover into development.

You will play a key role in shaping product, bringing forward well-considered ideas and contributing to a strong and cohesive design direction across the brand.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

•⁠ ⁠Designing menswear product across multiple categories

•⁠ ⁠Developing concepts into resolved, production-ready designs

•⁠ Leading category proposals and contributing commercially considered ideas to range planning

•⁠ ⁠Creating CADs, technical drawings and tech packs

•⁠ ⁠Supporting the development of graphics across seasonal drops

•⁠ Preparing and presenting resolved design concepts with clear rationale

•⁠ ⁠Working closely with PD and production to ensure smooth development

•⁠ ⁠Managing external partners, suppliers and freelancers where required

•⁠ ⁠Supporting the team in maintaining timelines in line with the critical path

•⁠ Ensuring cohesion across product categories, colour palettes and graphics

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

•⁠ ⁠3 to 5+ years experience in a design role within a premium or contemporary brand

•⁠ ⁠Strong portfolio demonstrating both creative and commercial thinking

•⁠ ⁠Experience across multiple product categories

•⁠ ⁠Strong understanding of garment construction and product development

•⁠ ⁠Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite

•⁠ ⁠Figma experience is a plus

•⁠ ⁠Graphic design experience is a plus

•⁠ ⁠Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

•⁠ ⁠Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines without close supervision

•⁠ ⁠Confident communicator, comfortable working closely with founders

•⁠ ⁠Highly organised with good time management

•⁠ ⁠Interested in both product and graphics

•⁠ Comfortable receiving direct feedback and iterating quickly

•⁠ Strong cultural awareness and high taste level aligned with the brand
