Are you a talented Construction Disputes lawyer looking to take the next step in your career? A leading international law firm is seeking an ambitious Associate to join its highly regarded Construction Disputes team in London.

Working within a well-established practice, you will act for major developers, contractors, consultants, and public sector bodies, handling complex disputes across a broad range of construction and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:
1. Dispute resolution: handling adjudication, mediation, litigation, and claims under the pre-action protocol for construction and engineering disputes.
2. Contractual interpretation: advising on key industry-standard contracts such as JCT, NEC, FIDIC, ICE, PPC, and GC Works.
3. Professional negligence: acting for clients in high-value disputes involving construction professionals.
4. Risk management & dispute avoidance: advising clients on proactive strategies to mitigate risks before they escalate.
5. Business development: actively contributing to the teams growth, networking, and helping to expand the firms client base.
6. Collaboration: working closely with colleagues across the firms UK offices, as well as with the London real estate team on key development projects.
Minimum Requirements:
1. 2-5 years PQE with a focus on contentious construction matters.
2. Strong experience in adjudication and UK construction disputes (international arbitration experience is a plus).
3. Excellent knowledge of standard form construction contracts (JCT, NEC, FIDIC, etc.).
4. A commercial mindset and business development acumen - the ability to build strong relationships and contribute to the firms success.
5. A proactive and collaborative approach - excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients alike.
