Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Location: Hemlock Stone School – Nottinghamshire NG9 8GA

Salary: Up to £53,200 FTE DOE

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent (Term time only, or flexibility around full-time contract can be discussed based on your personal circumstances)

Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our in-house clinical team at Hemlock Stone School. Working collaboratively with the education team, you will deliver bespoke Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent or have SEMH needs. You will work within the standards provided in the OFG Occupational Therapy Ways of Working, guiding your practice within an education setting and aligning with the requirements of governing and professional bodies. You will be given responsibility for holding an occupational therapy caseload, with the full support of your designated clinical supervisor and site lead, and you will contribute to staff training and consultation as required. This post would suit a resilient, creative and enthusiastic individual.

Location: Hemlock Stone School – Nottinghamshire – Hemlock Stone School forms part of our Options Autism brand and is an independent specialist day school serving children and young people aged 7–18. Opening Spring 2026.


Essential Criteria

* Recognised Occupational Therapy degree
* Valid and up to date HCPC Registration
* Registered member of RCOT
* Relevant experience in providing occupational therapy services within a similar setting is preferred
* Experience with neurodivergent individuals and/or those with learning difficulties and/or socio-emotional and mental health difficulties; transferable skills evidenced
* Sound knowledge and clinical understanding of OT theory and practical application to support independence
* Experience of multi-professional work with teams or services within the designated specialty preferred
* Ability to work independently, be flexible and confident
* Clear and concise report writing skills
* Interest in sensory integration or sensory-informed practice
