Finance Manager - Betfair Sports Your Team Reporting into the Head of Finance – Betfair, the Finance Manager will be responsible for business partnering the Betfair Sports teams with regular exposure to the Betfair leadership team. This role is instrumental in improving profit through a combination of revenue analysis and forecasting, strong cost control and supporting the business to find opportunities to drive growth. What you will do Help compose the Betfair Sports commercial strategy, balancing the need for revenue growth with an efficient cost base. Lead preparation of budgets and forecasts for Betfair Sportsbook & exchange P&Ls, ensuring internal partners are fully engaged in P&L impact of assumptions and that targets are challenging but achievable Contribute to a monthly commercial review with Betfair Sports team, challenging their assumptions when necessary. Contribute to the delivery and analysis/insight of the Betfair monthly commercial reviews with Betfair leadership team and Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews to the UKI CEO and CFO Liaising with GFC/FBI to ensure the accuracy of tracking and month end close numbers. Be an integral member of the Betfair Sports team and their go-to person for all things finance. A key focus on understanding revenue performance and drivers as well as identification and delivery of cost efficiency Provide finance support on key commercial negotiations for significant third-party suppliers Significant contribution to wider Betfair and UKI projects when required. Play a key role in ensuring we continually improve the level of financial support provided to the business How you’ll do it Experience of business partnering able to communicate financial performance to senior internal partners and to simplify complex information Highly numerate with strong financial and analytical skills Commercial competence with passion for sports – awareness of wider betting industry, our competitors and macro circumstances that can have an impact on our performance. Experience in forecasting and budgeting with evidence of building positive relationships with both finance and non-finance colleagues Proactive with a willingness to find new ways of working and improving processes.
