A well-resourced primary school in Stratford-upon-Avon is seeking an experienced and compassionate SEN Teacher to take up post from January 2026. The successful SEN Teacher will lead and deliver high-quality provision for pupils with additional needs, design and monitor individualised programmes, coach support staff and liaise with external therapists. This SEN Teacher role in Stratford-upon-Avon will begin January 2026, with induction and handover organised ahead of January 2026 so the SEN Teacher can start term-ready.

The SEN Teacher will be responsible for assessing needs, writing accessible learning plans, delivering bespoke small-group teaching and ensuring pupils make measurable progress. In Stratford-upon-Avon, the SEN Teacher will work closely with the SENCo, senior leaders and families to ensure continuity of provision and to foster independence. The appointed SEN Teacher will also support whole-staff training on differentiation and inclusive classroom practice.
Key responsibilities
* Plan, deliver and evaluate targeted teaching programmes that drive pupil progress as SEN Teacher.
* Lead and monitor interventions, maintain records of impact and adapt programmes accordingly.
* Liaise with parents, external specialists and the SENCo to coordinate multi-agency support in Stratford-upon-Avon.
* Mentor and guide teaching assistants to deliver high-quality small-group work and support classroom inclusion.
* Contribute to whole-school policies on SEND, behaviour and assessment and support transitions for pupils.
Person specification
* Qualified teacher with proven experience supporting pupils with SEND and strong SEN Teacher outcomes.
* Skilled in assessment, curriculum adaptation and designing targeted interventions.
* Calm, organised and collaborative — able to work confidently within the Stratford-upon-Avon school community.
* Available to take up post January 2026 and to attend induction and handover sessions before January 2026.
