LOCATION: Phoenix, Clarkes Lane, West Bromwich, West Midlands, B71 2BX HOURS: 27.5 hours per week, Term Time 1 week CONTRACT: PERMANENT Phoenix Collegiate is looking for a highly capable, flexible and well-motivated Learning Support Assistant, to help provide effective learning support and enhance the quality of pastoral care for students whose education is being provided outside of the mainstream. You will act as a role model, promoting self-esteem, helping to enforce discipline and establishing productive working relationships with students as part of a close-knit team in our RAISE Centre. This is an absorbing role, requiring the postholder to support in the delivery of learning sessions in subject areas across the school curriculum, working in the classroom with small groups of students to deliver interventions. Candidates must be able to demonstrate tenacity and resilience. You should have experience of working with children – ideally in a Secondary school setting, although this is not essential, and must have attained GCSE grade 4 (or equivalent) in Maths and English as a minimum.
