Job summary
The successful candidate must be able to undertake a range of administrative duties to support the multidisciplinary team, work effectively as part of a team, and organise and prioritise their workload daily. Experience with a clinical system is preferred but not essential.

Main duties of the job:
1. Process repeat prescriptions daily, ensuring compliance with practice protocols and accuracy, while generating patient requests for repeats
2. Handle prescription queries from healthcare professionals including GPs, nurses, pharmacists, and practice staff
3. Summarise and read code relevant information from patient records into the system, following protocols
4. Manage incoming correspondence, including letters and electronic documents
5. Differentiate between clinical documents needing GP review and those suitable for scanning; sort into batches for scanning
6. Ensure hospital correspondence is scanned, coded, and attached to the correct patient records
7. Monitor incoming emails from patients, hospitals, and third-party organisations

We are a large, busy training practice serving 12,500 patients from purpose-built premises. We use the SystmOne system and are rated 'Good' by CQC.
