At Butlin's, our lifeguards play a crucial part in ensuring that guests have a fantastic time while staying safe in our Splash Waterworld. About the Role
As a lifeguard, your primary responsibility will be to keep our guests safe while they enjoy the pool and flumes. Your role will include:
* Ensuring Guest Safety: Your top priority will be monitoring the pool area, especially during busy periods.
* Outstanding Customer Service: Engage with guests and provide them with a memorable experience.
* Organizing Activities: Promote and facilitate poolside activities that enhance guest enjoyment.
Typical working hours range from 24 to 35 hours per week, including weekends. Shifts primarily occur between 8:30 AM and 6:00 PM, with occasional shifts extending until 9:00 PM. Flexibility and reliability are essential, as we operate seven days a week.
Bonus: Live-in accommodation may be available for those over 18 relocating for a full-time position!
About You
We are on the lookout for enthusiastic individuals who can connect with a diverse range of guests. To thrive in this role, you should:
* Be a Strong Swimmer: Your swimming skills are vital for monitoring the pool effectively.
* Have Attention to Detail: Keeping a watchful eye on guests is crucial for their safety.
* Hold a Lifeguard Qualification: A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is essential. Previous lifeguard experience is a plus!
You will be part of a fantastic team, but there will be times when you will need to supervise areas independently.
