Job Introduction
* Year 6 SATs Intervention Teaching Assistant – Sutton Coldfield
* Daily Rate: £90
* Start Date: ASAP
* Contract: Long-term
Elevate Supply is currently recruiting for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support SATs preparation in Year 6 at a well-regarded primary school in Sutton Coldfield. This is a long-term opportunity to join a supportive team at a school rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted. The successful candidate will work closely with the Year 6 teaching staff to deliver targeted literacy and numeracy interventions ahead of the KS2 SATs.
The role will involve:
Delivering small group and 1:1 support focused on literacy and numeracy
Supporting the class teacher with lesson delivery and pupil progress
Monitoring and recording pupil development and providing feedback to staff
Helping to prepare resources and adapt materials to suit varying ability levels
Building strong relationships with pupils to encourage confidence and resilience
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience working with KS2 pupils, ideally in Year 6
Confidence supporting English and Maths interventions
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage reluctant learners
A calm, focused approach to behaviour and learning support
Previous school-based experience is desirable but not essential
