Position Overview
The Restart Programme gives individuals who have been out of work for at least 6 months enhanced support to find jobs in their local area. The programme is designed to break down any employability barriers that could be holding them back from finding work. Restart referrals will be made over a 2-year period and provides up to 18 months of tailored support for each participant. By working with employers, local government, and other partners we will deliver tailored support for individuals into gaining sustainable employment.
As an Employment Facilitator, you will be working directly with a caseload of customers to help them overcome barriers to employment, providing vital support to help people transform their lives. By motivating and empowering the people you work with, you will equip individuals with the necessary skills and confidence to enable these individuals to secure and sustain employment. You will develop strong relationships by encouraging, motivating and challenging your customers to fulfil their potential, whilst ensuring you meet your own job specific targets.

Key Responsibilities
• Achieve individual and team targets to support COPA success
• Manage a caseload of customers using a variety of coaching strategies, ensuring the are prepared for interviews and job searching.
• Undertake in-depth assessments using a suite of tools to fully understand a customer’s circumstances, preferences, and holistic barriers to progression.
• Deliver our customer service standards so that all participants are provided with the same high standard of service that maximises their chances of securing sustainable employment.
• Co-produce personalised tailored SMART action plans with sequenced interventions and development opportunities.
• Develop relationships and networks with key stakeholders including employers, Job Centre teams and funding providers.
• Have a knowledge of local specialist services in order to obtain support to address specific issues (e.g., substance misuse, anger management, debt advice, health and vocational training)
• Co-produce effective in-work support plans with participants and employers.
• Proactively participate in continuous improvement activities to ensure that the service continues to deliver excellent customer service.
• Fully comply with company policies including those for personal data security, safeguarding and health & safety
• Promote the commitment to Safeguarding in line with the Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults Policy and Procedure
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ensuring a clear audit trail by recording activity within COPA and Serco CRM systems
• Undertake other duties as deemed appropriate at the discretion of the business.
Education and Experience required - Essential
• Customer focussed with a strong commitment to customer care.
• A strong team player with a positive and flexible approach to work and colleagues
• Previous experience of working in a customer focused environment delivering results and achieving stretching targets.
• Previous Experience of delivering services to meet contractual and quality standards.
• Fully IT literate in using a range of Microsoft Office programmes to include 365 products and modern digital technologies, i.e. Microsoft Teams/Zoom/Google
• Strong communicator – demonstrating an ability to listen, question and build relationships.
• Demonstrable creative problem-solving skills and a positive approach to challenging and overcoming any barriers.
• Demonstrable ability to plan and organise workload to meet required targets and deadlines.
• Fully comply with company policies including those for personal data security, safeguarding and health & safety
• Good level of Literacy & Numeracy: Grade C or equivalent
• Hold a full U.K. driving licence and has access to vehicle

Desirable
• Prior experience of working in a similar role in the Welfare to Work sector is desirable.
• Previous experience of working in a Recruitment Background
• NVQ level 3 or equivalent
• Knowledge of the employability sector and local labour market
• Ability to speak Welsh
