We are recruiting on behalf of a Civil Engineering contractor working on major infrastructure and construction projects across Scotland. Due to ongoing contract wins and growth, we’re looking for an experienced Class 2 Tipper Driver to join their expanding team based from Thornliebank. This is a temporary postion that could lead to long term on-going work for the right candidate.
The Role:
As a Class 2 Tipper Driver you’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials to and from site, including aggregates, muck, spoil, and other construction-related loads. You’ll play a key role in keeping projects running on time and to specification.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operate Class 2 tipper vehicles safely and professionally
2. Transport materials between sites, quarries, and landfills
3. Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects
4. Comply with all health & safety procedures and transport regulations
5. Maintain accurate documentation and driver logs
What We’re Looking For:
6. Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
7. Minimum 1 – 2 years tipper driving experience
8. Driver CPC and digital tachograph card
9. Good timekeeping and professional attitude
10. Strong knowledge of Scottish road networks
Hours & Working Pattern:
11. Monday to Friday
12. Start at 06:00
13. Typical finish between 16:30 – 17:30
Pay:
Competitive hourly rates ranging around £15.00 – £17.00 per hour depending on experience and duties.
