About the role
As a Kitchen Assistant at a Barchester care home, you will help provide first‑class food and hospitality that enable us to give our residents exceptional all‑round care and support. A healthy, nutritious diet is vital to ensuring our residents’ wellbeing and helping them enjoy daily life with us. The role is key to producing meals and creating a satisfying dining experience for every resident. You’ll be an asset to your colleagues and your impact will reach beyond the kitchen.
Key responsibilities
* Prepare and cook meals for residents.
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
* Assist with meal planning and portion control.
* Support residents during mealtimes and help with special dietary needs.
About you
* Reliable, considerate and caring approach.
* Formal qualifications not required; commercial or care setting experience is a plus.
* Ability to work 20 hours per week: week 1 Mon/Fri and week 2 Sat/Sun (8:30 am‑6:30 pm).

Remuneration
