About the role As Programme Leader in Construction, you will shape the future of our construction curriculum and inspire the next generation of industry professionals. This leadership position involves overseeing programme delivery, ensuring high‑quality teaching and learning, and driving innovation across the curriculum area. You will lead on curriculum development, quality assurance and course management, ensuring compliance with awarding‑body requirements and alignment with industry standards. The role also includes mentoring and supporting Course Managers, building strong links with employers and stakeholders, and contributing to departmental growth through recruitment and engagement activities.
Key responsibilities
* Lead curriculum development and ensure compliance with awarding‑body standards.
* Deliver consistently high‑quality teaching and assessment.
* Build and maintain industry relationships to enhance learner opportunities.
* Provide effective line management to Lecturer/Course Managers and drive team performance.
* Act as account manager for employer engagement and deputise for the Curriculum Area Manager.
The successful candidate will
* Hold a Level 3 qualification in Construction and a Level 5 Teaching Qualification.
* Demonstrate a strong record of teaching and learning practice.
* Have experience designing and delivering FE programmes, ideally including City & Guilds and Pearson qualifications.
* Be self‑motivated with excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Show evidence of continuous professional development and industry experience.
