Ford Credit Europe is in the middle of a major tech transformation. As part of this, a brand-new dealer facing finance tool is being rolled out across Europe to ensure the dealer experience is the best it can be and ultimately serves the customer efficiently.
Ford Credit is searching for a Group Product Manager, who will lead a team of product managers to enhance our dealer tool in the UK and rollout the new tool across the rest of Europe starting in Germany. This is a highly visible and critical role as it’s the main entry point into our modernised tech platform, drawing attention from the execs of Ford Credit globally. The main customers will be dealer using the tool in their dealership and our end customers who will be impacted by the dealer flow.
Essential criteria
1. Automotive Experience: automotive finance, dealer operations, OEM, leasing, or general automotive product development.
2. Depth of Product Experience: Advanced-level product management skills, demonstrated by delivering multiple products into production with significant adoption.
3. Exceptional communication: Comfortable communicating with senior stakeholders, engineers, and product leadership; able to tailor your message to the audience. It’s important that your stakeholders know your plans, and your teams understand the details behind them.
4. Stakeholder management: Able to manage a complex stakeholder environment, developing processes and ceremonies to keep stakeholders aligned and to elicit appropriate input.
5. Customer centricity: You empathise deeply with customers and truly understand their challenges.
6. Data-guided: You use data to guide decision-making and priorities. Where data is missing, you work to establish it, and you make key metrics visible through clear reporting.
7. Product strategy: You connect the organisation’s long-term aspirations with a coherent long-term strategy for your product.
8. Self-starter: You thrive amid ambiguity and complexity, bringing clarity and momentum; you become the go-to expert for your product area.
9. People leadership and influence: You lead your team effectively and influence stakeholders across functions.
Desirable criteria
10. Formal line management experience: You have managed a team of product managers and can coach them to become stronger practitioners.
11. Experience owning a product in multiple markets: You have built products to serve multiple markets and have prioritised developments across markets.
12. Automotive dealer experience: You have worked on products that impact dealers and understand the challenges they face.
13. Fintech experience: You have worked in fintech, with experience of loan applications and servicing.

This position is based in Dunton, and it is expected the successful candidate will be able to attend the Dunton office for typically 4 days a week and remain flexible on the days they are required to attend the office according to business requirements.
