Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry (Full Time)
An opportunity has arisen for a full time post (10 sessions) for a Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry within Angus Health & Social Care Partnership. The post is based in Susan Carnegie Centre within the grounds of Stracathro Hospital near Brechin, and the successful applicant will join 3 other Consultant colleagues in the Department of Old Age Psychiatry, Angus.
The post holder will provide medical leadership, advice and supervision to 3 well-established Community Mental Health Teams for Older People in Angus and will deliver care with a multidisciplinary and multiagency approach.
Responsibilities
* Provide medical leadership and supervision to Community Mental Health Teams for Older People in Angus
* Deliver care within the two Psychiatry of Old Age inpatient wards (one 13 bedded organic ward and one 12 bedded functional ward)
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary and multiagency partners to promote high-quality care
Qualifications and Requirements
* On the specialist register for psychiatry or within 6 months of anticipated award of a CCT/CESR (CP) or already in possession of CESR in psychiatry at interview time
* Experience in Old Age Psychiatry preferred
