Transport Monitoring Officer
Location: Hove Town Hall, Norton Road, Hove, BN3 3BQ.
Salary: £29,064 - £31,022 plus shift, night and weekend allowances (estimated £6,000 a year).
Contractual hours: 37 hours per week, fixed hours.

Job Responsibilities
In this role, you will be making a real difference to the transport network and the security of parking assets in the city by working as part of a team of officers monitoring the city transport network in real‑time, identifying incidents and using CCTV and other data streams. You will work a shift pattern covering the 24/7 operation, communicate with stakeholders, internal teams and external parties, and make independent decisions on escalation. You will support incident response, supervise event management and liaise with other teams to ensure accurate communication across the centre. You will continually improve knowledge of transport network pressures, council carbon neutrality strategy and customer‑focused operations, communicating changes to a wide range of transport users.
