About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage a dedicated team of control room operators, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the strategic M25 DBFO road network. You’ll play a key role in delivering excellent service and performance, making a real difference to one of the UK’s most vital transport links.

What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of keeping one of the UK’s most important road networks running safely and efficiently. Every day will bring variety, responsibility, and the chance to make a real difference.
You will:
1. Coordinate primary and secondary response teams, deploying resources to resolve incidents safely and effectively.
2. Receive and share information clearly and accurately to protect safety and ensure swift resolutions.
3. Monitor CCTV, tunnel, and bridge safety systems, taking prompt action when required.
4. Keep accurate records of network occupancy using bespoke systems and databases.
5. Escalate and communicate critical incidents to colleagues and stakeholders in real time.
6. Work to agreed performance and quality standards, following Connect Plus policies and HR procedures.
7. Build strong relationships with partners and stakeholders, including liaison with the HE Regional Operations Centres, NTIC, and NILO.
8. Support decision-making during severe weather events in line with the Severe Weather Plan.
