Overview

Join to apply for the Social Workers - Newly Qualified role at St Helens Council.

We are hiring Newly Qualified Social Workers with a focus on People, Promotion, Progression and Performance. We will support you with a protected caseload for 2 years and provide a range of guidance training and advice from the management and social work academy.

Responsibilities

* Provide expertise commensurate with the Newly Qualified Social Worker role within a diverse, challenging and rewarding environment.
* Work with teams to support children and families, maintaining a protected caseload for 2 years and receiving support from the ASYE co-ordinator.
* Engage with the Children’s Services Social Work Academy to develop professionally and progress through the career pathway.


Requirements

* Newly Qualified Social Worker with registration from Social Work England.
* Willingness to participate in a hybrid working arrangement with some home working; regular attendance at St Helens offices as required.
* Enhanced DBS Disclosure clearance required.
* Commitment to the values of the service and to improving outcomes for children and families.
