Responsibilities
* Preparing monthly management accounts.
* Reporting monthly accounts to the board.
* Work closely with the commercial team to allocate project costing, update and report monthly.
* Work closely with other departments using centralised financial data.
* Create scenarios, forecasts and models to help management make informed business decisions.
* Update weekly and monthly cash flows.
* Act as a key finance member while also working closely with the MD & other departments.
* Maintain a commercially astute outlook whilst being able to maintain the finance function.
* Excellent time management and ability to meet strict deadlines each month for reporting purposes.
* Excellent people skills and ability to create good relationships with the whole business as well as the finance team.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
* Be a crucial cog between finance and all other departments to help present and report accurate information so the business can make informed decisions.
* Ensure weekly and monthly reporting deadlines are hit.
* Provide guidance to management and give constructive feedback from a financial perspective.
Qualifications
* A recognised accounting qualification or equivalent education in accounting and finance.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Proficiency in financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
* The ability to communicate financial information clearly to various stakeholders.
* A proactive approach to managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
