Job Overview

We are seeking a diligent Part Time Accounts Administrator to join our finance team. This role offers flexible hours and is ideal for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a reasonable understanding of accounting processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy in record-keeping, and assisting with various administrative tasks related to accounts management. Experience with recognised accounting software is desirable but not essential, and the position provides an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a professional environment.

Responsibilities

* Manage accounts payable processes, including processing invoices and reconciling statements
* Assist in maintaining accurate financial records using accounting software such as Pegasus Opera
* Ensure timely processing of transactions and adherence to organisational policies
* Liaise with vendors and suppliers regarding billing queries
* Maintain organised filing systems for all financial documentation
* Support the finance team with ad hoc administrative tasks related to accounts management

Skills

* Proven experience with accounting software an advantage
* Good understanding of accounts payable procedures and general bookkeeping practices
* Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time capacity
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal
* Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
* Previous experience in an administrative or finance role is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided where necessary.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £15.00-£17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
