Service Care Solutions is working with a well-respected police force, based in Warwickshire, which is seeking experienced Locum Police Lawyers to support their legal services team. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced legal professionals with a background in police law to work closely with a reputable force, advising on operational matters and representing the organisation in court. Role: Police Lawyer Contract Length: 3 – 6 months Location: Warwickshire – hybrid Umbrella Rate: £55-£60ph PAYE Inc. Rate: £48.41-£52.76ph Key Responsibilities: Providing operational legal advice to officers and staff across the force. Advocacy in the Magistrates’ Court and other courts, particularly in relation to preventative orders. Supporting legal matters connected to policing operations and regulatory frameworks. Where applicable, assisting with matters connected to Professional Standards Department (PSD) Required Experience (in order of priority): Operational policing advice and court advocacy experience, particularly relating to preventative orders. Professional Standards Department (PSD) experience (desirable where available). Other relevant police law experience gained within a police force or similar public sector environment. Essential Requirements: Qualified Lawyer (Solicitor, Barrister, or equivalent) with relevant post-qualification experience. Full UK driving licence. Unrestricted right to work in the UK (e.g. British citizenship or indefinite leave to remain ). Benefits: Hybrid working.
