Job Description:
Are you looking for a part-time role for weekday evenings (5pm-8pm)?
Would you love a rewarding role supporting a child with spina bifida in their family home in the evenings, helping to put them to bed?
Come and join one of the UK's largest providers of complex care.
Within the Care in the Home division, we support children with complex health needs to live at home with their families.
We'd like you to join us as a Children’s Support Worker at our young client's home in Midhurst.
Meet the client:
Our client is a 17-year-old boy, who lives at home with his grandparents and siblings. Our client attends school and requires support from you after school (5pm-8pm), to help him get ready for bed. Our client loves computer games, helping his grandad with cars, and playing board games with his family in the evenings. On Saturday mornings, you would take him to the equestrian centre for weekly horse-riding.
When you'll be working:
* Monday-Friday evenings (5pm-8pm)
* Saturday mornings
* Up to 20 hours a week available
* Part-time
* More hours could become available in the near future
What you'll be doing:
This role involves supporting our young teenage client with spina bifida in his family home. This includes helping to put him to bed on weekdays and supporting in the mornings on Saturdays. Tasks include personal care, medication, moving and handling, and managing clinical equipment.
No previous experience required as full training, shadow shifts, and ongoing support will be provided.
Due to the rural location, you will need to be a driver to reach the client's home.
What to look forward to:
* Up to £ per hour
* Full specialist training, shadow shifts, and ongoing support provided
* Regular, consistent work with rolling rotas
* Join the Active Learning Hub and benefit from a wide range of e-learning and face-to-face training and development opportunities
* We recognize outstanding Active Behaviours via the Active Awards programme
* Refer a Friend Scheme and earn up to £1500 by recommending someone you know
* …and, of course, the support and guidance of our qualified clinical and business leadership teams to help you develop your career with Active Care Group
