TeacherActive is proud to be working with multiple SEND schools in the Bolton area, supporting with their recruitment for SEN Teachers. The settings of these schools are centred on pupil's development, as well as an intrinsic desire to make progress both academically and with their own emotional, social and behavioural skills.
These amazing schools are seeking a passionate team player to take on short-term and long-term roles, although there is potential for these to become a long-term placement for the right SEN Teacher. The successful SEN Teacher will bring a new dimension and skill set to this role, be keen to develop their own skills to adapt to the children’s individual needs and have a positive impact on the wider school.
The position will involve working with students across all Key Stages with diagnosis of Autism / ASD, SLD / Severe Learning Difficulties, and challenging behaviours. A proactive thinker with the ability to take control of situations confidently is necessary.
Responsibilities
* Deliver fun and engaging lessons aligned to the needs of students across multiple Key Stages.
* Develop positive relationships with staff and pupils and contribute to a supportive learning environment.
* Support students with Autism/ASD, SLD and challenging behaviours through proactive classroom management.
Qualifications
* SEND Teaching experience.
* A good knowledge of the national curriculum.
* The initiative, ability and desire to deliver fun and engaging lessons.
* The ability to build good relationships with the staff and pupils.
* Strong behaviour management skills.
