Your new company
A large public sector organisation based in Ballymena, providing environmental services to the Mid and East Antrim area, including Food Safety, Consumer Protection, Pollution control, Licences and Permits, Health and Safety, and Noise control.
Your new role
This is a temporary contract for an initial 9 months, based in Ballymena, reporting to the Principal EHO. It is a part-time role, working 4 days per week.
Duties and responsibilities:
* Carry out inspections, investigations, assessments, or activities within defined Environmental Health functions.
* The role may cover areas such as:
* Public Health
* Food Safety
* Environmental Protection
* Health and Safety at Work
* Consumer Protection
* Wellbeing Initiatives
* Private Sector Housing
* Dog Control
* Licensing
* Tobacco Control
What you'll need to succeed
Applicants must have a degree in Environmental Health, be a member of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, and have 1 year's experience in:
* Local government Environmental Health role
* Applying knowledge of current Environmental Health legislation
* Enforcing and remedying breaches
* Building professional relationships with stakeholders
Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to suitable transport.
