A Little More About Your Role… We are looking for a Consultant who has experience in the delivery of flood risk assessment projects to work collaboratively on technically complex projects for a range of clients. The main focus of your work is likely to be Flood Risk Assessment for major infrastructure projects in the UK and overseas, with wider involvement in flood modelling, flood management and Water EIA as appropriate to individual experience. Sharing your technical expertise and mentoring more junior members in the team will also be part of your role.
Responsibilities
* Undertaking / performing project tasks assigned by senior team members such as:
o Carrying out flood risk assessments and preparing deliverables.
o Supporting complementary projects and developing skills in areas such as sustainable drainage design, planning application reviews, preparing Local Flood Risk Management Strategies, permitting applications, and environmental assessments
o Carrying out site surveys to collect baseline information and support Section 19 investigations.
o Taking leadership of certain project management activities including financial and programme management.
* Communicating and liaising effectively and efficiently with the project team (both the Sustainable Water Management team and the wider business)
* Working collaboratively within the team and proactively supporting junior staff in developing their technical knowledge and understanding of tasks assigned.
Qualifications
* A degree in a relevant environmental, geographical, science or engineering discipline is essential
* Actively working towards chartered status with C.WEM, CEnv, CSci or CEng
