Due to the continued growth of the business area, we are looking for an Electronics Solutions Engineer to join our Mission Systems team.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop state of the art solutions for Electronic Counter Measure (ECM) programmes – providing systems that improve the safety of personnel against threats such as Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) or similar in Civilian or Military environments. These systems are utilised on a variety of target platforms with the opportunity to work closely with both partners and end users.
What you will do
1. The role of an Electronics Engineer (RF focused) within the Electronics Team to feed in to Digital and RF Systems and Sub-Systems.
The Electronics Team have the following key responsibilities:
2. RF Block Analysis (i.e. TX Power, RX sensitivity, Filter performance etc.)
3. EME Threat Analysis (i.e. Threat power allocation, Technique assessments etc.)
4. Technical support to the down selection of RF Transceiver and VPX Processor Sub-Systems, including OpenVPX cards.
5. Technical support to Fibre and Copper Ethernet Networking (up to 100Gbps), secure storage and safety electronics designs.
6. Prototype Testing of VPX cards (RF Performance, Capability in SWaP constraints, proof of concept etc.)
7. Integration and Verification of System and Sub-System
8. Support to Qualification (including EMC), Production and Delivery activities

10. Experience designing RF Systems
11. Experience defining and analysing RF budgets
12. Experience developing specifications for RF elements
13. Experience conducting radiated hazard assessments
14. Experience designing electronic systems through entire lifecycle
15. Experience designing to meet DEF STAN 59-411
16. Awareness of DEF STAN 61-005
Desirable Skills:
Domain experience in EW and ECM Awareness of Land CEMA architecture and open standards Awareness of SALTWORKS Awareness of OpenVPX Awareness of OpenCPI
