As a key member of the Hampshire field team, you’ll be carrying out diagnosis, repair, servicing, and overhauls of marine engines and related systems both on-site and dockside. If you’ve got proven expertise with diesel engines, hydraulics, gearboxes, and marine power systems – and a strong focus on safety and customer service – this is the opportunity for you. The Successful Field Service Engineer - Package: * Salary: £34,000 – £37,000 per annum * Benefits: Company van, paid door to door * Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15am to 4:45pm * Progression: Access to training courses worth £10,000 The Successful Field Service Engineer - Duties and Responsibilities: * Carry out diagnosis, repair, and overhaul of marine diesel engines, gearboxes, and drive systems * Perform servicing and planned maintenance on vessels across Hampshire and surrounding coastal areas * Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and control systems using modern diagnostic equipment * Conduct dockside and on-board inspections to the highest safety and quality standards * Provide clear updates to customers on repair status and service recommendations * Support apprentices and junior engineers with hands-on guidance when required * Maintain accurate service reports and technical records to meet ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards * Work efficiently to meet KPIs, labour targets, and ensure all tasks are completed within set timescales The Successful Field Service Engineer - Requirements: * Minimum 5 years’ experience in marine engineering or field service with vessels/equipment * Strong diagnostic ability with marine diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulics * Knowledge of fault-finding on electrical and electronic systems in a marine environment * Familiarity with IMO, MCA, and relevant safety standards desirable * Excellent communication and organisational skills * Competent with Microsoft Office and diagnostic tools/software * Valid UK driving licence Apply Now!
