Aton Syalon are partnering exclusively with a business based in Ilkeston who are looking to recruit a Finance Assistant on a 12 month FTC to cover maternity leave. You'll be joining a close-knit team that values honesty, hard work, and a good sense of humour. They are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to help them stay on top of day-to-day transactional duties. Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of management accounts
Daily Bank posting and reconciliations
Processing supplier invoices and payments
Journal Posting
Handling invoice and payment queries internally and externally
Intercompany payments and reconciliations
Assist in month-end end closing processes
Manage the petty cash
Processing of expenses for the correct period
Supplier statement reconciliations
Foreign Currency banking
Support the purchase ledger function
Person Profile:
Previous experience in a finance or bookkeeping role
Strong attention to detail
A positive attitude and willingness to support in a small team
The ability to work independently and take initiative, but also collaborate closely with others
Enjoys working in a small team
Please note, this role is based on site 5 days a week, but they do offer a 35 hour working week with an early finish on a Friday. Flexibility with working hours is available with the position.
