Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic orthoptist to join our large team of Orthoptists across multiple Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust sites, mainly at Barnet Hospital and Edgware Hospital. The role may involve covering other sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide a high‑quality orthoptic service as an autonomous, highly specialist practitioner, delivering both preventative and therapeutic care in line with the professional standards of the British and Irish Orthoptic Society (BIOS).
* Assess, diagnose, treat and educate patients as part of the glaucoma service using advanced clinical skills and specialist glaucoma knowledge.
* Co‑manage complex and unstable glaucoma cases alongside Ophthalmologists within the multidisciplinary Glaucoma team.
* Contribute to clinical work focusing on orthoptics & glaucoma and leadership opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
Motivated and experienced Orthoptist with excellent communication skills and a strong clinical background in Orthoptics.
