This role sits within the HQ Finance team and is dedicated to providing financial management support to the Transformation Directorate. This will include the drafting and reviewing of budgets, monitoring spending, and assisting with contract management for a wide range of donor funding from governments, institutions, companies, and private philanthropy.
The role will require the ability to understand the breadth and variety of activities, and the stakeholders involved within the HQ and HALO field programmes. It will also involve a variety of types of budgets, from small one-off collaborations to multi-year multi-country contracts. In particular, this role will be responsible for managing the financial side of the Technology Accelerator Fund (a fundraising initiative dedicated to technology) and working closely with the Philanthropy department to ensure timely financial reporting.
The role is an essential part of delivering the Technology Strategy to drive forward the safety, efficiency and effectiveness of HALO’s global operations.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and monitor project budgets and conduct regular budget reviews to ensure that projects stay within budget.
2. Produce timely and accurate financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
3. Manage and oversee all financial transactions related to the projects.
4. Ensure operational plans are reflected in the budgets/forecasts.
5. Develop tools and processes for monitoring staff time recharges across multiple grants.
6. Oversee the financial elements of the Technology Accelerator Fund.
7. Other administrative duties as and when required.

Requirements
10. QBE or a professional or part qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA etc )
11. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
12. Exceptional organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
13. Strong numeracy and IT skills essential, and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
14. Fluent in written and spoken English.
15. Experience developing and monitoring budgets
Desirable Requirements:
16. Experience using ERP planning systems
17. Familiarity with financial management in the non-profit sector
