Senior Estimator – HV Substations (Civils & M&E) Nottinghamshire – Hybrid working
£65,000 (negotiable dependent on experience) + car/car allowance
Fourblue have teamed up with leading Tier 1 Contractor who is seeking a proactive and driven Senior Estimator to join their growing pre-construction team. This role will see you working on a range of tenders for high voltage (HV) substation works – covering both mechanical and electrical, as well as civils – in collaboration with Bid Managers, Project Development Managers, and Pre-Contract Construction Managers.

Responsibilities of the Senior Estimator:
Supporting bid kick-off meetings and contributing to bid programme planning
Collaborating with procurement and commercial teams on RFQs
Preparing Excel-based tender pricing using supply chain quotes and internal rates
Benchmarking, analysing quotations, and testing productivity rates
Leading pricing handover meetings and supporting risk management discussions
Identifying and managing project risks and commercial exposures during the tender process
Mentoring junior estimators and driving continuous improvement within the estimating function
Criteria for the Senior Estimator:
A good understanding of commercial and contractual language
A full UK driving licence
