THE PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
As Finance Assistant, you will support the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of the organisation. The role involves processing financial transactions, assisting with payroll, maintaining accurate records and providing general administrative support to the finance function.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AS FINANCE ASSISTANT
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Process invoices
• Post receipts and payments across multiple bank accounts
• Process payment runs
• Assist with daily banking and reconciliations
• Support with payroll functions
• Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
• Support with month-end reporting
• Assist the team with Solicitor Accounts Rules, ensuring compliance and regulation
• Support stakeholders with finance queries and requests
• General ad-hoc support to the finance team
IDEAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Previous experience in a finance, accounts or administrative role
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience in supporting payroll (desired but not essential)
• Strong communication skills, with experience in stakeholder management
• Good time management skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
