The Role
* You’ll oversee the full lifecycle of import and export shipments, ensuring smooth, efficient movement of goods around the world. Your responsibilities will include:
* Coordinating global import/export operations
* Scheduling transport with hauliers, carriers, and overseas agents
* Building strong client and partner relationships
* Providing accurate shipment updates and handling issues with confidence
* Completing customs entries, commercial documents, and invoicing
* Monitoring job costs and ensuring timely billing
* Taking ownership of files from origin through to final delivery
What You’ll Need
* 2+ years’ experience within UK freight forwarding
* Understanding of air, sea, or road freight procedures
* Good knowledge of customs clearance and international documentation
* Experience with systems like Cargowise, Multifreight, or similar
* Strong communication, organisation, and attention to detail
* A proactive mindset and the ability to manage several shipments at once
