Project Support Officer Permanent Your role: This role will provide business support to GMCAs Investment Team, by providing timely and accurate administration support to various team members, programmes and projects. The role will focus on providing administrative support to GMCAs Brownfield programme but will have the opportunity to be involved in various projects across the team. As part of GMs trailblazer devolution deal, The Ministry for Housing, Communities, and Local Government (MHCLG) have recently allocated the GMCA £185 million of Brownfield Infrastructure and Land funding to unlock at least 7,600 new homes. Added to the original Brownfield Fund, we will unlock more than 21,000 critically needed homes in our region through providing £314m in funding across GM. In order to successfully deliver this programme, is the role holder will need to be competent with numbers and confident with Microsoft Excel, have a good level of literary skills and a strong communicator. The programmes in delivery are fast paced, therefore good prioritisation, organisation and accurate data entry and record keeping will be key skills for this role. About you: The ideal candidate would have experience of data entry and use of Microsoft Excel, and attention to detail. They should be able to use strong analytical reasoning skills to form conclusions, and then effectively transfer key and complex information and recommendations to all levels of staff. The candidate should be a self-motivated person who can operate under their own steam, demonstrating an ability to effectively prioritise a diverse range of tasks with enthusiasm and a passion for data handling and the outcomes the fund delivers.
