?? Salary: £23,809 - £25,000
Our client is a leading food manufacturer specialising in authentic Japanese cuisine and they are looking for a Quality Control & Labelling Administrator. You will be supporting the production and compliance teams, helping to ensure every product leaving the facility meets the highest standards of food safety and consistency.
What Youll Do
Youll play a key part in both quality control and labelling operations, working across production lines to maintain standards, records, and traceability.
Quality Control & Compliance
Monitor and log temperature checks, defrosting records, and product weights to ensure compliance.
Verify food safety standards, including sanitisation and chlorine concentration levels.
Maintain fridge/freezer temperature logs and submit daily/weekly QC documentation.
Highlight and escalate any hygiene or safety concerns promptly.
Track product rejections, short-dated stock, and expired raw materials.
Calibration & Equipment Checks
Carry out weekly calibrations for probes, scales, air temperature sensors, and dishwashers.
Record corrective actions and ensure calibration documentation is accurate and up to date.
Labelling & Printing
Manage the label printing process during production shifts.
Oversee stock control for labels, order replacements, and manage consumption logs.
Maintain printers and ensure changeovers run smoothly across shifts.
Audits & Hygiene
Take part in internal and external audits (SALSA, customer, local authority).
Perform hygiene and food safety inspections, including chlorine titration testing.
Training & Team Support
Deliver hands-on QC training in production areas.
Support part-time QC staff and ensure seamless handovers when covering shifts.
What Were Looking For
Previous experience in food production, quality assurance, or manufacturing.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy.
Knowledge of food safety standards, auditing, and traceability processes.
Confident working in a fast-moving, hands-on environment with high standards of hygiene.
