Qualified Social Worker - Cafcass - Work to First Hearing / Work After First Hearing Teams
Location: Brighton Office Base - Covering Surrey & Sussex
Pay Rate: £37 p/h Umbrella
Eden Brown Synergy are currently recruiting for four experienced Social Workers to join the Cafcass Work to First Hearing and Work After First Hearing Teams within the Surrey & Sussex region.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Managing cases within Public and/or Private Law proceedings.
* Completing risk assessments and screening through telephone interviews and multi-agency information gathering.
* Preparing clear, concise and evidence-based reports with recommendations to the court.
* Occasional attendance at initial court hearings to ensure decisions remain child-focused.
* Work After First Hearing duties include direct work with children to understand wishes and feelings.
* Providing high-quality case analysis and advocating for the child in court settings.
Working Pattern:
* Office attendance monthly in Brighton - more frequent during induction.
* Child visits across Surrey & Sussex as required.
* Induction will consist of a blend of remote and office-based learning.
Essential Requirements:
* Social Work qualification - Degree or equivalent.
* SWE registration.
* Experience within Public/Private Law or Child Protection.
* Strong analytical, assessment and court report writing skills.
