This role is based in London, with hybrid working requiring attendance on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
Role Summary:
As a Senior Medical Writer, you'll collaborate with internal teams to add value, guide projects, and ensure high-quality copy aligned with briefs. You'll work with Client Services to manage client relationships and represent the Copy function effectively.
Responsibilities include:
* Working on client brand activities across multiple therapy areas
* Creating original content for various media and audiences, adhering to codes of practice and brand objectives
* Producing and editing copy suitable for different formats, considering UX and project flow
* Collaborating with Client Services to exceed client expectations and suggest innovative solutions
* Mentoring junior team members and supporting their development
* Keeping up-to-date with industry regulations (e.g., ABPI Code) and medical approval processes (Zinc, Veeva)
Ideal candidates will have:
* At least 3+ years of agency experience in creative/promotional medical writing
* Experience in creative healthcare communications, especially promotional materials
* Therapeutic experience in diagnostics is preferred
* Global experience
* Line management or mentoring experience
* Knowledge of ABPI guidelines
* Experience working with global pharmaceutical companies and briefs
Recent graduates without agency experience cannot be considered for this role, but they are encouraged to apply for Junior Medical Writer positions and graduate programs.
