Overview
We are seeking a skilled Test Technician to join a growing engineering team. The role involves testing, validating, and troubleshooting electronic products, while supporting process improvements and ensuring compliance with quality standards. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, technical ability, and teamwork are essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out functional testing on products using approved instructions and designated test equipment.
* Set up and operate test equipment, ensuring calibration requirements are understood and adhered to.
* Diagnose and resolve faults at component and system level.
* Record and analyse test results in line with quality and compliance requirements.
* Operate automated test equipment and related systems where required.
* Support continuous improvement activities by suggesting and implementing process changes.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including logs, reports, and customer-specific records.
* Follow all safety and quality procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
* Work to production schedules, achieving test targets without compromising on quality.
The Candidate
Previous experience in an electronics test or repair role.
Qualification in Electronics Engineering.
Ability to interpret technical documents and follow procedures.
Skilled in fault finding, analysis, and troubleshooting.
Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Comfortable using computer-based systems for logging and reporting.
Team-oriented with a proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.
Familiarity with quality systems and manufacturing practices.
Salary
£25,000 – £33,000 per year (depending on skills and experience).
